Ernstine KORNELIS is Secretary of Legation at the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE). She entered the diplomatic profession by joining the UK Foreign Office for a posting at the British Embassy in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and then joined the Grand Ducal Court as Advisor to the Cabinet of HRH the Grand Duke. After various assignments at the MAEE, she is now Coordinator of the Inclusive Finance, Digital for Development and Private Sector Department and is the thematic expert for Research and Development and Space for Development. Ernstine has a background in English and German literature and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Lux-Development.

Kaspar Wansleben is the Managing Director of Investing for Development, the asset management structure of the Forestry and Climate Change Fund. Kaspar has a strong background in development finance and microfinance in particular where he worked at the International Labour Organisation (2002) and at PlanetRating (2004) and as fund manager of the Luxembourg Microfinance and Development Fund since 2009.

Kaspar’s background is in finance and he is a chartered accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He worked for KPMG for 5 years. Kaspar is a visiting lecturer at the University of Luxembourg on social entrepreneurship and is an board member of the International Climate Finance Initiative Luxembourg.
