The Fundación Naturaleza para la Vida (NPV) is a non-profit organisation operating in Northern Guatemala. In 2018, NPV with support received from the FCCF Technical Assistance Program, formulated an ambitious plan to propose sustainable forest management services to the owners of small areas of secondary and degraded forests in the Petén region. NPV received a small amount of debt finance from FCCF to launch the project.

During the early execution of the program NPV suffered major setbacks through the departure of the person in charge of project implementation.

FCCF evaluated the consequences of the organisational change and their implication on the NGO’s governance and took the decision end of 2019 to discontinue the project.
